This Feeling is You

A unique exploration of the subconscious and aural aesthetics. A captivating fusion of art, self-development, and electronic music.

Comprising of 7 interconnected chapters, it takes listeners on an immersive journey. Each chapter guides the listener through various states of trance and reflection, facilitating the transformation of emotions into energy and trauma into trust.

The project, initiated by Boston in 2017, draws inspiration from a diverse range of sources. Her background as a hypnotherapist provided valuable insights, while her studies delved into spiritual and metaphysical practices including Metaphor, Ancient Wisdom, Religious Ideologies, Hallucinogenic Medicine, Shamanism, Mentalism, The Kybalion (1908), Magick and Spellwork, Cymatics, the Science of Sound, Duality, Numerology, Rituals, Poems, and even popular social media quotes belonging to the collective unconscious.

Working alongside Barcelona-based electronic musicians and sound designers Desert, these ideas were sonically translated into a meditative ambient suite. The music incorporates spoken word, controlled tones, rhythmic oscillations, and sung vocals, intertwining with phrases of both direct and indirect suggestion to create a gentle and enveloping experience.

This Feeling Is You takes place in the immersive environment of a magic garden, offering a visual meditation journey that explores negative shadows, enhances confidence, taps into inner knowledge, and awakens consciousness. The journey flows as follows:

  • It sets the tone for the album, inviting you into a relaxed state and exploring what you might be seeking help with, be it clarity, direction, meaning, or "simply becoming more you than you've ever been". It begins to question the internal narratives we have for ourselves, asking "how do you know the things you think are true?" It starts the journey while encouraging you to envisage what the end of that journey may look like.


  • In the second track of the album, the concept of the Magic Garden is established, introduced as a safe space to enter a hypnotic state as it deepens from 1 to 10. As breaths become deeper and limbs become looser, you're encouraged to float down to a place of calm and quiet awareness, a magical garden that is "whatever you want it to be", complete with a golden garden door — naturally.

  • Once at the golden door, you are invited into "a place that grows as you do". This place houses all beginning and ends, designed for sowing seeds and pulling weeds. It's a place of growth, birth, losses, and successes as you are surrounded in splendour, colour, harmony, and balance. All the elements that exist in this magical garden are gifts you were born with, designed to be taken on the path ahead.


  • Now we explore the shadows within the garden and encourages you to connect with something you want to work through. It may be something that holds you back or something you find draining. In this track, that negativity is located and identified, exploring its colour, weight, size, texture, and temperature. Once identified, that negativity is pulled from you, so that you can see it more clearly as you create an allyship with it.

  • Here we reiterate the garden's nourishing abundance, dialling up confidence with the symbolism of water. This track encourages you to stand tall in the reflection of the water, releasing comparisons, and seeing your inner beauty with self-acceptance and love. As you step into a sailing boat, a long and fulfilled life stretches out ahead. There are good things on the horizon.

  • This track amplifies the quiet voice within that cuts through "the fog of indecision" and delves into an inner knowledge. It encourages positive and powerful thinking, reminding you of the counsel you possess and answers you already carry, "for even when you can't see the sun, you know it's there".

  • Transcending from the garden and into the stars, an intergalactic ending, takes you to a floating state where you possess a brilliant sparkle. Surrounded by other sparkling lights, you are able to beam light to these alternate stars, even the stars that represent those who might be hard to love. It seeks the good in others and demonstrates how you can affect the consciousness of those around you. The track counts you out of a hypnotic state but reminds you "you can always revisit the garden".

To have the fullest experience, start by tuning in, slowing down, and listening to the full album from The Beginning to The Awakening for your first few listens. This allows you to immerse yourself in the journey. After that, you can customize your experience by selecting specific tracks that reinforce the message you need in the moment, as each track serves a specific purpose while reinforcing growth, trust, connection, and purpose. Before you begin, set an intention of integrity and truth.

Tune into your intuition and listen for divine inspiration and answers within. Trust what is waiting for you.

Create a peaceful space where you can fully immerse yourself. You might consider having a diffuser with a scent you enjoy nearby. Before getting comfortable, you can also stretch your muscles to initiate the process of going inward. As you listen, allow yourself to drift where you need to. Let go of any preconceived notions of what a trance should be and approach the experience with an open and curious mind, willing to explore. Remember that answers can be found everywhere, and if you're considering the suggestions, you're already doing great. Depending on your level of practice and connection, you may process the information you receive in different ways. Initially, you may find that your mind gets distracted or shows resistance. If you notice yourself in a critical, mundane, or overly practical mindset, simply acknowledge it, thank the thoughts for presenting themselves, and let them pass like passing visitors.

Visualising Meditation

Closing your eyes can enhance your visualization abilities and spark inspiration and insights. If visual imagery comes naturally to you, embrace it. Otherwise, you can shift your focus to sounds, feelings, colors, landscapes, or simply a deep knowing. While you listen, center your attention on a meaningful message, be it a symbol, metaphor, image, or a powerful sentence aligned with your intention. Amplify it in your mind, making it vivid and impactful, something you can actively apply to redefine your reality and gain clarity on what truly matters to you. Carry this newfound understanding with you as you navigate your day and interact with the world around you.

Breathing Meditation

Start by taking deep breaths, allowing the air to fill your diaphragm. Focus on making your exhale longer than your inhale, which helps to slow down your heart rate and promote muscle relaxation. Find a breathing rhythm that feels comfortable for you and continue to follow it. As you breathe, consciously release any tension in your shoulders, allowing them to relax. Similarly, relax the muscles around your eyes and face, letting go of any tightness or strain.

 

Resting Meditation

To optimize your experience, find a comfortable position either sitting or lying down, with your feet and hands comfortably apart. Keep your palms facing upwards. It's recommended not to fall asleep completely during the session for better results. If you find yourself drifting off, try sitting up or listening earlier in the day. Even if you feel like you've momentarily drifted off, if you come back to awareness towards the end, it means you are still responding to the suggestions and absorbing the messages.

Recharging Meditation

After familiarizing yourself with the audio, you have the option to listen with your eyes open. Soften and expand your visual awareness, exploring your peripheral vision while remaining present. At times, you may feel the need to connect with feminine energy and express it through movement, dancing or primal energetic gestures. You can raise your hands flat to the sky to collect energy in the palms of your hands, allowing yourself to feel the sensations and connection.

UPON AWAKENING

You may feel the need to expel energy through exercise, dancing, or stretching. Honour that need and engage in activities that help you release energy. Afterwards, focus on reflection and taking action. Treat all experiences as valuable information and keep a pen and paper nearby to write or draw your experiences. Additionally, you can answer the following questions:

What was the most important revelation you were shown? What actions do you need to take to align with your highest intention?

Read aloud what you have written and consider sharing your experience with trusted individuals for added compliance and accountability. Remember that reflection is not a passive process; it requires active emotional engagement. Dedicate time to it daily if possible, as the more you listen, the more you'll be drawn to listen further. Listening is simple, but letting go is a journey that requires practice, patience, consistency, and kindness.

Give the part of yourself that once believed it was performing a positive function time to absorb, adapt, and process new information in different contexts. Challenge yourself through difficulties, as growth often comes from exposure to new experiences and embracing new perspectives. Although it may be uncomfortable, the rewards are always worth it. At first, you may not fully believe you are experiencing any significant changes, and that's okay. Remember that slow and steady change has a greater impact than instant success.

This journey is not merely a short-term fix for changing your state in moments of emotional hijacking; it is about reprogramming your mind, body, and spirit for long-term improvement. Surrender to the process and trust that change is taking place. Understand that change is inevitable, and within you lies a divine power to shape your reality. Embrace this new beginning, for from this day forward; nothing has to remain the way it has always been.
